Reiki

Reiki (pronounced "ray-key") is an ancient Japanese healing technique and was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Christian priest and teacher in the mid-nineteenth century. Reiki is a form of energy medicine that uses hands on methods to remove physical and emotional blockages that may be causing illness. Reiki is a method for connecting Universal energy with the body's innate powers of healing. This type of non-intrusive hands on healing can be a beneficial supplement to conventional modalities, helping the body reach homeostasi

Reiki has been described as "intelligent, non-directed" energy that will go where it is needed and in just the right amounts. Each individual intuitively draws out the right amount of energy that his or her body needs to heal itself.
