Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive manipulative technique designed by John Upledger. Craniosacral Therapy works with the very core of the body - the Craniosacral system - and therefore helps clear the way for the body's own self-healing mechanisms to be more effective. Examination is done by testing for movements in the various parts of the system. Seldom does the therapist apply pressures which exceed 5 grams (the weight of a nickel). This low-force technique has proven to be an effective treatment modality for many health conditions because the craniosacral system has a profound effect on health and well-being. This approach to health and healing is often used in conjunction with other techniques such as chiropractic, massage therapy, light therapy, aromatherapy and many others.
